Welcome to SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and our media program student pages. Here we feature samples of student projects, and highlights about our activities.

 Pulse 103

Click on The Pulse 103 logo to listen to SAIT's student radio station. Windows Media Player will open and start an audio stream within a few seconds. We think you'll be impressed with the high quality of our stereo audio when played on a good speaker system.

We broadcast 24 hours a day year-round on the internet, and can also be heard in the Calgary region on Shaw Cable FM at 103.5. The Pulse 103 is operated by students from the Radio Option of the Radio, Television and Broadcast News Program. Students from the Broadcast News Option provide most of the news, sports and weather coverage.

Hockey Webcast

Many of our SAIT Trojans hockey and basketball games are streamed live to the web from our campus centre. The primary video crews consist of students from the Radio, Television and Broadcast News Program's Television Option, but often they are joined by play-by-play and color commentators from RTBN Broadcast News and Radio, and by video operators from other SAIT media programs. Check at http://www.saittrojans.com/ for a schedule of streamed games. Clicking the icon when a streamed game is underway will open Windows Media Player for you to watch and hear the action!

Newsfile

Every Friday from 4:30 - 5:00 PM MST, we stream SAIT's NewsFile news, sports and weather half-hour package live to the internet. Click the NewsFile logo at that time to watch the live stream. NewsFile is produced by Broadcast News and Television students of the Radio, Television and Broadcast News Program..

The Weekly Albertan is the student newspaper of the Journalism program. Updated daily throughout the semester, the website contains all the material appearing in the print edition, together with web-exclusive features and video.
